The Convention Centre Dublin was developed to provide a world-class conference venue in the heart of Ireland’s capital city. Located just 15 minutes from the airport in Dublin’s Docklands, the finance and technology hub of the city, The CCD is ideally positioned to entice the international business tourism market.
Since The CCD opened in September 2010, we have hosted over 2,000 events. As business tourists spend money on hotels, taxis, dining out, entertainment, shopping, cultural experiences and tourist attractions, events held at The CCD help to generate significant revenue for the Irish economy.
To date, we have won 60 industry awards, and continue to position Ireland on the world stage for international conferences, congresses and events. We strive to offer a truly world-class venue in every sense, from the quality of the facility, through to every aspect of our service. Our aim is to offer conference and event organisers, as well as conference delegates, an unrivalled event experience.

Having achieved ISO 14001 accreditation in 2011, we are committed to long-term sustainability. In 2021, we secured ISO 20121 accreditation becoming one of a small number of Irish venues to hold this standard. ISO 20121 is a recognised international accreditation that demonstrates our commitment to running sustainable events. With a structured approach addressing climate change, waste and biodiversity, everyone at The CCD is committed to achieving our sustainability vision.

At The Convention Centre Dublin we live our value, 'we recognise we all have a part to play', by making choices about how we operate to ensure that we make a positive impact on our local community and the world around us.
As members of the Dublin Docklands Business Forum, giving something back to the local community is particularly important to us, and we strive to support various local causes and initiatives where possible.
This includes using local companies to provide design, print, and digital marketing services and using a range of Irish producers to supply our food and beverage requirements. This not only supports indigenous business, but also has a positive impact on the environment.
Where we can, we also help registered charities utilise the iconic profile of our building to help build awareness for their charity or campaign. In view of this we have joined other prolific buildings around the world by lighting up our signature ring beams for various causes.
